Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Costa Teguise
Arrive in Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote. A group transfer from the airport takes you to your hotel in Costa Teguise, one of Lanzarote’s most popular beach resorts.
After settling in, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Take a stroll along the palm-lined promenade, a swim in the Atlantic, or simply relaxing into the island’s laid-back atmosphere.

Day 2: Haría
Today, you collect your bike, get fitted, and begin your first ride. The route takes you through some of César Manrique’s most iconic works—El Jardín de Cactus with its striking plant displays, the subterranean beauty of Los Jameos del Agua, and the sweeping viewpoint at El Mirador del Río. You will also have the option to explore the volcanic tunnels of La Cueva de los Verdes, once used by locals as a hiding place from pirates. Along the way, you pass through quiet fishing villages and ride with views of the Monte Corona volcano towering above.
The day concludes in Haría, a peaceful village set in a lush valley and surrounded by endless palm trees, offering a striking contrast to Lanzarote’s volcanic landscapes. Whether you ride the shorter or longer route, the sense of arrival in this green oasis is truly rewarding.

Day 3: Teguise
Leaving Haría, today you begin your descent along a road that rewards you with sweeping coastal views. The scenery shifts as you approach Teguise, once the island’s capital and still one of its most charming towns. With its cobbled streets, traditional whitewashed buildings, and welcoming cafés, it’s an ideal place to pause for refreshments. From here, you ride onwards toward San Bartolomé, before entering La Geria, Lanzarote’s unique wine-growing region.
Here, vines are cultivated in volcanic ash-filled craters, protected by semi-circular stone walls—a remarkable sight found nowhere else in the world. You finish the day in or near Teguise, where you’ll spend the next two nights. After the day’s ride, you can enjoy a relaxed evening, taking in the atmosphere of this historic town while anticipating tomorrow’s choice of riding or rest.

Day 4: Teguise
Today is a flexible day. You can spend it entirely at leisure in Teguise, or you can set out on a round ride to explore more of the island. If you choose to ride, the route takes you first towards the expansive Famara beach, a golden stretch framed by dramatic volcanic cliffs. It’s a breathtaking spot and a favorite with surfers.
Continuing from here, the road follows the coastline before turning inland across vast lava fields. The landscape feels almost lunar, a reminder of Lanzarote’s fiery volcanic history. Cycling through this otherworldly terrain is an experience in itself. Eventually, you loop back to Teguise, where you can relax and enjoy another evening in this welcoming town. Whether you opt for rest, riding, or both, today offers the chance to balance activity with relaxation.

Day 5: Playa Blanca
Today’s journey takes you deep into Lanzarote’s volcanic heart, the spectacular Timanfaya National Park. This is the island’s most iconic natural wonder, where eruptions between 1730 and 1736 dramatically reshaped the land, burying villages and creating vast lava fields and towering volcanic cones. Riding through this extraordinary terrain feels like cycling across another planet.
After exploring the park, you continue south, stopping to visit El Golfo, a seaside volcanic crater with its striking green lagoon. The contrast of black sand, turquoise sea, and vivid lagoon is unforgettable. From here, the route carries you onwards to Playa Blanca, at the very southern tip of the island. With views across the strait to Fuerteventura, this lively resort town offers the perfect mix of relaxation and coastal atmosphere after a day immersed in Lanzarote’s volcanic wonders.

Day 6: Playa Blanca
Playa Blanca makes a wonderful base for today’s flexible options. You might choose to take a ferry across the short stretch of water to Fuerteventura, where a longer ride of about 70km through Corralejo and beyond lets you sample another island entirely. Alternatively, you could remain on Lanzarote and enjoy a shorter ride to El Golfo, perhaps lingering over a seafood lunch by the beach.
Another enticing option is to stay local, exploring the idyllic Papagayo coves, considered the island’s most beautiful beaches. With golden sands and crystal-clear water, they remain unspoiled and perfect for swimming or simply relaxing. Whatever you decide, today is about enjoying the freedom of choice—whether that means riding, exploring, or simply soaking up the southern sunshine.

Day 7: Arrecife
Your final ride brings you back northwards through La Geria, Lanzarote’s remarkable wine region. The sight of thousands of vines growing in volcanic craters never loses its wonder, and it’s easy to see why the island’s wines are so highly regarded. After passing through this striking landscape, you descend towards the coast and join a scenic promenade that stretches from Puerto del Carmen to Arrecife.
This leisurely coastal section makes a perfect ending to your cycling journey, with sea views accompanying your final kilometers. Arriving in Arrecife, you can explore the charming El Charco, a small inland lagoon surrounded by restaurants and cafés—a lovely place to celebrate the end of the tour.

Frequently Asked Questions
We provide an app-based navigation system that can also be used offline. You can download the app to your phone in advance, and we will share the login details ahead of your trip. Since the app works offline, it helps conserve your phone's battery during use.
For minor issues like punctures, the guests are provided with a self-repair kit, which includes tools to help them fix such minor issues. The exact contents of the kit depend on the type of bike, terrain and other factors, and will be communicated to you closer to your date of departure. However, usually such a kit includes tire levers, a spare tube, a patch kit, and a pump, allowing riders to fix the problem themselves. In some cases, the kit may only include a pump or a repair foam.
Self-guided riders are expected to be independent in handling these minor problems. While there are some bike shops along the route, they are limited. If you are unsure about how to repair a puncture, we recommend considering a guided or van-supported trip instead.
For major mechanical failures, such as a cable break, the guests can contact the emergency support number provided. The support team will help coordinate a solution, which could include dispatching a local mechanic, suggesting a nearby bicycle shop for repairs, or sending a vehicle to pick up the rider. Please note that all support services will be provided on a chargeable basis, and assistance may take time, so we advise being prepared for potential delays.
We provide 24/7 emergency support by phone for any medical emergencies during the tour. Our team will assist in coordinating medical care, guiding you to the nearest healthcare facility, and ensuring you receive the necessary support. The national emergency system is reliable and effective, and in the event of a serious accident, contacting them is highly recommended. However, due to our distance from certain areas, response times may be longer. We strongly recommend having appropriate travel insurance, and we will do everything we can to ensure your safety and well-being during an emergency.
The fitness level required for each trip is indicated by the "level" of the tour, which in turn is mentioned on each tour page right next to the price and the trip duration.

Please note that we usually bike around 4-5 hours per day irrespective of the level of the trip.
You can exchange currency at the airport itself, or at ATMs in larger cities. Most commercial establishments will accept international credit cards for payments, though its good to carry some local currency with you at all times.
The meeting time on Day 1 is mentioned in your travel planner shared with you. You can arrive either on the morning of Day 1 depending on the meeting time, or book a pre-tour night to arrive a day earlier.
