Weather

Sri Lanka’s seasons dance to the rhythm of two monsoons, painting the island with ever-changing moods. From December to March the skies are crisp and clear, the highlands wear a cool mist and the southern shores glow in golden sunshine, making it the very best time to visit. April and the midsummer months of July and August bring warmth and fleeting showers, yet the hills remain lush and the festivals add color to the journey. May and June arrive with the southwest monsoon, draping the rainforests in emerald hues and refreshing the tea country, though travel calls for patience between the showers. As September to November unfold, rains roam across valleys and coasts, softening trails and stirring the seas, creating a quieter and more challenging time when nature reclaims its rhythm. Each season writes its own story, and the island is always alive with beauty, waiting for travelers to find their moment.
