Guided Essence of Vietnam Discovery Multi-Adventure Tour

After arriving and settling into our hotel, we meet our guide at 1:00 p.m. to begin our first exploration of Vietnam’s lively capital. We set out on foot through Hanoi’s bustling streets, immersing ourselves in its rich tapestry of history and culture. Our journey begins at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a site of great national pride, followed by a visit to the One Pillar Pagoda, an elegant wooden temple rising from a lotus pond, standing as a symbol of Vietnam’s ancient artistry.

Next, we step into the tranquil courtyards of the Temple of Literature, where time seems to pause amid age-old pavilions and stone steles that honor the country’s earliest scholars. Continuing toward Hoan Kiem Lake, we soak in the city’s rhythm and cross the scarlet bridge to Ngoc Son Temple, gracefully poised on a small island amid shimmering waters.

As evening falls, we gather for a traditional Water Puppet Show, a delightful performance where wooden puppets dance across the water, bringing centuries-old folk tales to life. We end our day sharing dinner together, reflecting on the perfect blend of Hanoi’s tradition, artistry, and timeless charm.

Today, we leave the city behind for the serene waters of Lan Ha Bay. We kayak through hidden lagoons, gliding past towering karst formations, or let local rowers guide us on bamboo boats to the stunning Dark and Bright Cave.

As the day winds down, we board a luxurious cruise and watch the sunset paint the sky in shades of pink and orange over dramatic limestone cliffs. Dinner is served aboard as we drift past emerald waters and floating fishing villages, falling asleep surrounded by the bay’s peaceful beauty, a perfect close to a day of adventure.

We begin the day with an energizing hour-long Tai Chi session on deck, greeting the first light of dawn as it dances across the bay. After breakfast, we disembark and transfer back to Hue.

After our refreshing morning in nature, we transfer to Noi Bai Airport for our flight to Hue. Upon arrival, we’re warmly greeted by our local guide and driven to our hotel. The rest of the day is free for us to unwind, perhaps with a quiet stroll along the Perfume River or a relaxing evening in Hue’s laid-back ambiance.

Today, we hop on our bikes to explore Hue, Vietnam’s historic “purple city,” weaving through the peaceful countryside and uncovering hidden corners that reveal the charm of this imperial capital.

As we pedal along, we follow quiet lanes lined with lush gardens, past traditional merchant houses, and alongside the tranquil Perfume River. We pass iconic landmarks like the Citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the royal mausoleums, taking in their grandeur and rich history. At our own pace, we soak up the rhythm of local life, glimpsing daily activities in the streets and villages, making this a leisurely yet immersive way to experience Hue’s timeless beauty.

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we leave Hue and embark on a scenic drive to Hoi An. The journey is a feast for the eyes- skimming past Lang Co Bay, where turquoise waters lap against pristine white sands and wooden fishing boats drift gently. We climb the winding Hai Van Pass, taking in sweeping vistas of mountains, forests, waterfalls, and the ocean, before descending into the charming streets of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage town that exudes timeless beauty.

Upon arrival, we are immediately captivated by Hoi An’s unique architecture, a harmonious blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and European influences that tell the story of centuries of trade and cultural exchange.

In the afternoon, we stroll through the Old Town on a Lantern Trail walk, as dusk paints the cobbled streets in a warm glow. Lanterns twinkle above assembly halls, riverside cafés buzz with life, and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge stands gracefully amidst the magic of evening lights.

As the day winds down, we dive into a hands-on Vietnamese cooking class, learning traditional recipes and techniques. Together, we prepare and savor local dishes, connecting with the flavors, aromas, and culture of central Vietnam in a truly immersive and delicious experience.

Today we dive into the serene countryside surrounding Hoi An, where life moves at a gentle rhythm. We gather at our hotel and set off on bicycles, weaving through narrow lanes flanked by lush rice paddies and tranquil shrimp farms, making our way to the charming Cam Thanh Village.

From there, we pedal toward Thanh Nam Fishing Village, meeting local fishermen as they go about their daily routines catching fish, crabs, and squid using age-old techniques, all while modern boats drift into the distant East Sea.

Next, we arrive at Tra Que Herb and Vegetable Village, famed for its organic produce. Here, we observe farmers at work, cultivating aromatic herbs and fresh vegetables with traditional methods that have sustained the village for generations.

After a leisurely lunch, we continue to Thanh Ha Pottery Village, a riverside community known for its exquisite ceramics since the 16th century. We watch skilled artisans shape clay into tiles, bricks, and pottery using time-honored techniques and those eager can try their hand at the potter’s wheel.

We conclude our day with a short ferry ride back to Hoi An, reflecting on a rich day filled with culture, creativity, and the peaceful charm of rural Vietnam.

We start the day with a transfer to Da Nang Airport for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival in Saigon, we settle into our hotel and prepare to explore the city. Later in the morning, we meet our guide for a walking tour through some of Saigon’s most iconic landmarks. We wander the bustling Ben Thanh Market, admire the grand Saigon Opera House, stroll past the historic Continental Hotel, and step inside the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office. We also reflect on the city’s turbulent past at the War Remnants Museum. This immersive walk gives us a vivid introduction to Saigon’s unique blend of history, energy, and local life.

As night falls, we hop on vintage Vespas for a thrilling evening tour through the city’s lively neighborhoods. Riding through glowing streets, we stop to savor local delicacies, enjoy drinks, and soak in live music, experiencing firsthand the rhythm and spirit of Saigon after dark. This adventure combines culture, cuisine, and excitement, offering us an unforgettable glimpse into the city’s vibrant nightlife.
