About Pankaj Mangal
From India
Pankaj has been a cyclist, a traveler, and a connoisseur of crafts and culture ever since he can remember. He has cycled through more than 20 countries and in every continent except Antarctica. Everywhere he went, he was fascinated by the ways people lived, the communities they built, the art they created, and the heritage they carried on their shoulders.
In 2010, he founded Art of Bicycle Trips to share his love for cycling and culture with others. From humble beginnings as an enabler of weekend getaways in India’s IT hub of Bangalore, he has nurtured Art of Bicycle Trips to being one of the leading bike tour operators in the world.
His favorite cycling destinations are Rajasthan, which is also his home, Vietnam, Kyoto, and Croatia.
When not building Art of Bicycle Trips, Pankaj is passionate about helping underprivileged children and in doing his bit to make the planet a little bit greener.
His free time is spent with his family and perfecting intricate asanas on a yoga mat.
