After breakfast, transfer to the port of Prapratno and board the ferry to Sobra on Mljet, one of Croatia’s most beautiful and unspoiled islands. From the port, a short drive takes you to the Mljet National Park area, your base for the next two nights. Often called “the green island” for its lush pine forests, Mljet is best known for its two saltwater lakes, which are warm enough for swimming even early in the season. Today’s walk begins in Polace or Pomena and follows scenic trails around the lakes, winding through quiet bays and peaceful forest paths. Covering 14 km with only a gentle elevation, it is a serene introduction to the island’s natural beauty. In the evening, settle into your cozy B&B and enjoy the tranquil island atmosphere.

Today’s hike begins in Polace and takes you up to Montokuc, the highest point in Mljet National Park, where sweeping 360° views reveal the island’s lush forests, shimmering lakes, and the sparkling Adriatic beyond. From this vantage point, the trail descends gently towards the lakes before continuing to the picturesque village of Soline at the far edge of the park. Along the way, you will pass through peaceful pine forests, quiet coastal viewpoints, and traditional stone houses that add a touch of old-world charm. The 12 km walk includes an elevation gain of 300 m, making it both invigorating and rewarding with scenery that will stay etched in memory. Return in the late afternoon for a relaxed evening by the water, surrounded by the calm and beauty of Mljet.

After breakfast, take the morning ferry back to Dubrovnik. On arrival, you have a flexible day with time to explore this magnificent city on your own or join an optional guided walking tour of the Old Town. Dubrovnik, often called the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” is a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its red-roofed houses, marble streets, and mighty stone walls.

You may choose to hike up Mount Srd for panoramic views over the city and coastline, spend the day walking along the famous city walls, or take a short boat ride to the tranquil island of Lokrum. Alternatively, simply lose yourself in the lively squares, charming alleyways, and seaside cafés that make Dubrovnik so captivating. There is an optional city tour, lasting up to two hours, provides an excellent orientation and brings the city’s rich history to life.

This morning, you will take a ferry from Dubrovnik’s Gruž port to the tranquil island of Lopud, a scenic 55-minute sail across the Adriatic. Rich in lush Mediterranean vegetation and blessed with sunny days, Lopud enchants visitors with its stone houses, ancient churches, and noble palaces that line the charming bay.

Several walking trails crisscross the island, the most rewarding being a 9 km loop that reveals old forts, chapels, a botanical garden, and dramatic cliffside views. Along the way, you can visit the famous sandy beach of Šunj, one of the finest in the Dubrovnik area. The trail begins at the port and ascends through narrow village streets to the viewpoint at Fort Kaštio and the Church of St. Ivan, before continuing along the southern cliffs and looping back to the town.

Here you can choose between two rewarding walking routes: a gentle 12.5 km trail through the valley with minimal elevation, passing rustic hamlets and riverside paths, or a more challenging 16 km coastal route with a 400 m climb, rewarding you with sweeping views over the Adriatic. Both options immerse you in the region’s natural beauty and rural heritage, offering glimpses of everyday life in this authentic corner of Dalmatia.
