Arrival

The tour starts in Scala on the Amalfi Coast. The nearest major access points are Naples and Salerno. Naples International Airport (NAP) is the closest airport, while Salerno is well connected by train. From Naples, you can travel to Salerno, Pompeii, or Castellammare di Stabia via local trains, and continue onward by bus or taxi to Scala. Frequent bus services connect Salerno to the Amalfi Coast, and in summer, direct ferry and boat services operate from Naples to Amalfi. Optional private taxi transfers can also be arranged from Naples Airport, Naples train station, Pompeii, or Castellammare directly to your accommodation in Scala.

Departure

The tour ends in Positano. From Positano, frequent local bus services connect to Sorrento and Amalfi or Salerno. From these towns, you can continue your journey by train or bus to Naples or even onward to Rome. Ferry and boat services are also available along the coast during the season, offering scenic connections between Positano, Amalfi, and Naples. Private taxi transfers can be arranged for direct travel to your next destination, including airports and major train stations.

The Amalfi Coast is best visited from April to June and September to October, when temperatures range between 15–26°C (59–79°F), offering pleasant conditions ideal for walking and clear coastal views.

March and early November bring mild weather with temperatures around 12–20°C (54–68°F), though conditions can be slightly unpredictable.

July and August are warmer and busier, with temperatures rising to 25–32°C (77–90°F), making it a mixed season due to heat and crowds.
