Day 1: Paro
Your journey in Bhutan begins with a spectacular flight into Paro Valley, offering close views of the towering Himalayas and glacial peaks such as Everest, Kanchenjunga, and Bhutan’s sacred Mt. Jomolhari. As the aircraft descends into the valley, forested hills, the winding Paro Chu river, and the imposing Paro Dzong create a memorable first impression.
After landing at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel for a short rest. Later, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan. Continue to Rinpung Dzong, a historic fortress overlooking the valley, followed by a visit to the National Museum.
In the evening, stroll through Paro town to explore handicraft shops before enjoying a welcome dinner featuring authentic Bhutanese cuisine.
