Culture and Cuisines of Japan

Upon arrival in Tokyo, we will be transferred by private vehicle to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore city, take a stroll through nearby neighborhoods, or sample local cuisine at nearby cafés and restaurants.

Today, we begin with a visit to Imperial Palace Plaza, followed by the serene Meiji Shrine and the historic Asakusa area. Throughout the day, we witness the striking contrast between traditional temple architecture and Tokyo’s dynamic modern cityscape, while gaining insight into local culture and customs.

In the evening, we take part in a hands-on cooking class, learning to prepare authentic Japanese dishes under expert guidance, offering a deeper connection to the country’s culinary traditions.

After breakfast, we depart from Tokyo and travel by private car to the scenic Fuji Five Lakes region, nestled at the base of Mount Fuji. As we arrive, we take in the natural beauty of lakes, forests, and panoramic mountain views, with opportunities for short walks and photo stops.

Later, we check in to our accommodation and unwind in traditional hot spring baths, enjoying a relaxing onsen experience surrounded by nature. The evening is at leisure to soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

This day begins with a relaxing boat ride on Lake Kawaguchiko, offering stunning reflections of Mount Fuji. Next, we take a ropeway ride to a panoramic viewpoint, where sweeping vistas of the lake and surrounding landscapes await. We then enjoy time exploring the lakeside, strolling through peaceful paths and soaking in the natural surroundings.

For those interested, we can visit additional viewpoints around the region for different perspectives of Mount Fuji. The day blends gentle activity with scenic exploration before returning to our hotel.

After breakfast, we take a transfer to Kyoto, Japan’s ancient capital, known for its timeless charm and rich cultural heritage. As we arrive, the city’s atmosphere shifts to a more traditional setting, with historic temples, serene gardens, and beautifully preserved districts that reflect centuries of Japanese history.

Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or explore at our own pace. We may choose to stroll through atmospheric streets like Gion or enjoy Kyoto’s renowned cuisine, easing into the city before deeper exploration begins.

Today, we visit Kyoto's most iconic temples, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Rurikō-in Temple and traditional quarters on today's cultural tour. We walk through the historic neighborhoods where ancient customs remain alive in daily life.

Each site reveals layers of Japan's spiritual and artistic heritage through exquisite architecture, contemplative gardens, and centuries-old rituals. This immersive day offers profound insight into traditional Japanese aesthetics and philosophy.

After breakfast, depart for Osaka via a comfortable private transfer. Enjoy a smooth journey as the landscape transitions from Kyoto’s historic charm to Osaka’s vibrant urban energy.

We begin the exploration of the city with a visit to the iconic Osaka Castle, offering insight into the city’s rich history.

We then head to the bustling shopping districts of Shinsaibashi and Namba, where we can browse local boutiques and popular retail streets.

Today, we set out to explore the vibrant food scene of Osaka with a knowledgeable local culinary expert. Known as Japan’s kitchen, Osaka offers a rich and diverse gastronomic culture.

We begin our guided food tour through lively districts such as Kuromon Market and Dotonbori, where we sample a variety of local specialties, from street snacks to regional delicacies. Along the way, we gain insight into Osaka’s food traditions, ingredients, and culinary techniques.

The experience combines tasting, storytelling, and exploration, offering an immersive way to discover the city’s flavors. The rest of the day is at leisure to continue exploring or relax.

After breakfast, we check out from our hotel in Osaka and proceed with a private transfer to the airport for our onward journey.
