Overview

The word Transylvania literally means the “place beyond the woods”, and this charming wonderland of hills, meadows, forests has long been considered one of the most mysterious and mythical places in western culture.

Which is why we’ve named this tour the Enigmatic Transylvania tour.

Come join us as we explore this land long associated with howling wolves, vampire bats, mysterious castles, and above all, Dracula.

We start our journey from the charming medieval town of Brasov, with its well-preserved Old Town and iconic Black Church, and pass through quaint Saxon villages that haven’t changed for centuries. Along the way, explore fortified churches dating back to the 12th century, stay in heritage hotels some of which are over 400 years old, and even visit Sighisoara, the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Count Dracula.

Our adventure culminates at Sibiu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nicknamed the “town with eyes” for its enigmatic houses with eyes dating back to the 15th century. After all, everything in Transylvania is an enigma that has endured for centuries.
