Victorian Bangalore Safari
Exploring Bangalore’s Colonial Lineage
We transport you to a time when British troops marched down Bangalore’s arterial road, South Parade (now M.G Road) and colonial influence was at its peak in the city. Iconic buildings and parks like 1875 built Mayo Hall, P.N Rao’s suitings shop, Cubbon Park, South Parade Church and Trinity Church dot our route for the morning, as we pedal down mid 18th century. The trip is easy-paced and gives you a glimpse of the famous ‘garden city’ as we bike down tree-lined boulevards and share fascinating anecdotes that will make you see Bangalore from a completely different perspective.
The safari includes refreshments at Bangalore’s favourite coffee stalwart, Indian Coffee House. Meet the turbaned waiters and sip the yummiest filter coffee while you soak into the old world charm of the renowned haunt. Hop across next to Koshys for a sumptuous breakfast at Koshy’s,which was started in the 1940s and has stayed on top of the list of Bangaloreans favorite eating joints through the years.
*Please note that this is an informative city bicycle tour and riding through the Bangalore traffic is part of a tour.
